The new iPhone
My contract isn't up for renewal so I wouldn't qualify for the subsidy. If I want it I'll have to pony up. ![]()
The new iPhone looks great. They always do. I wasn't really looking for a bigger screen but I'll certainly take a thinner device. ![]()
I'm more excited about iOS 6. At this point its the software that is interesting; not the hardware. ![]()
The iPhone is quickly becoming a beautiful standard unto itself. There isn't much visually that really could or should change. The touch screen is a black hole that opened up the world of possibility. There are no buttons to move around. It can't get much simpler. All we can expect at this point are performance improvements which, over time, become less and less significant to average phone usage. ![]()
The only reason I want an iPhone 5 is because I'm a developer. The screen and form factor changes are actually kind of a big deal. I'd like to know how my apps and websites look on that screen and what it feels like to be an iPhone 5 user. ![]()
If I care about the users of my software I'll get one. ![]()
I think I just created a lose-lose situation for myself. ![]()
UPDATE: Luigi Montanez suggests I get an iPod Touch. Dave Winer says he's thinking about going that route as well. Funny thing is: I never even considered that. I should have! ![]()
