I've Had Enough

After reading my mom’s post on shutting down her tumblelog, I can’t help but agree, and it’s time for me to end this.

But going forward, Jakob Lodwick, the person, is withdrawing from the public web. You will see the results of my efforts through Normative and other companies. I just cannot deal with these animals any longer.

I can’t imagine dealing with all that criticism.  That said, if you leave the commenterrorists will have won.

Jakob is interesting.  We need more genuinely interesting people on the internet.

I have a lot of respect for what Jakob has been able to build.  There aren’t too many successful Internet entrepenuers out there.  In building my startup I have learned (the hard way) just how tough it is to execute on a great idea and actually make a business out of it.

So I read Jakob because we have similar backgrounds (both went to RIT) and ambitions.  I haven’t created my first hit yet, but I can only hope that I too can build something in a world where 9 out of 10 attempts fail.
