I told a room full of CEOs today
that PR (public relations) is dead and that they are going to have to rethink how they get peoples attention. The days of sending off stale and impersonal press releases and getting results are over.
They were all discussing viral marketing and the like but that bothered me because they missed the point. Drink with the media, then they’ll write about you. Also, don’t be boring. People hate boring.
