Newspaper telemarketing
I just got a call from an older telemarketer trying to sell me a newspaper. I told her I wasn’t interested. She asked where I get all my news. I told her I get everything from the Internet. She then promoted the coupons they ship for my wife. I told her I was 23 (implying that I’m not married).
The world certainly has changed in the past 50 years. Back then everyone read the newspaper and got married by 23.
I thought it would be mean to tell her that my startup eliminates the need for a newspaper ever again :)
